1. Purpose
This Policy explains how organizers, venues, public agencies, schools, libraries, source owners, and rights holders may request correction, exclusion, or removal of event listings or source materials.
2. Requests to BFU May Consider
2.1 No Guarantee Disclaimer
BuzzForUs does not support public “event claiming” at launch. Organizers, venues, source owners, and rights holders may request correction, removal, or source exclusion. BuzzForUs may require verification through official-domain email, source-page token, robots.txt, DNS TXT record, or other proof. BuzzForUs may temporarily hide disputed events during review. BuzzForUs retains final editorial and moderation control.
2.2 Requests to BFU May Consider
BFU may consider requests to:
- correct event date, time, venue, price, age restriction, or cancellation status;
- remove an event listing;
- remove or replace an image;
- remove a source from BFU collection;
- blacklist a source URL or domain;
- update source attribution or source links;
- review suspected impersonation or unauthorized submission.
3. Proof Required
BFU may require proof before acting. Acceptable proof depends the request type, and could be one or more of the followings:
- an email from the same official domain as the organizer, venue, school, city, agency, library, or source website;
- a requested verification text such as
nobfubotplaced on the relevant webpage; - a robots.txt instruction or source-owner technical signal;
- DNS, domain, or website control evidence;
- official documentation reasonably showing authority;
- other verification accepted by BFU.
3.1 Proof Examples

4. No Guaranteed Timeline
BFU aims to review organizer/source removal requests promptly, but proof, investigation, source checks, and technical work may take additional time.
5. BFU Discretion
BFU may approve, deny, partially grant, or defer requests at its discretion. BFU may remove event listings or sources even without a formal request.

If your request concerns copyright infringement, use BFU's Copyright and DMCA Policy.
