1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms govern your access to and use of the BuzzForUs mobile application, public website, event pages, account features, event submission tools, reviews, photos, reminders, and related services (the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, submitting content, saving an event, posting a review, uploading media, or using any BFU feature, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, save events, set reminders, submit events, post reviews, upload photos, report content, or use account features.
BuzzForUs is not directed to children. Users under 18 may not create accounts, even with parent or guardian permission.
Anonymous users may browse public event pages where available, but account features require login.
3. Accounts
You may create an account using supported authentication methods, including email-based verification and third-party sign-in providers made available through BFU.
You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under your account.
You must provide accurate account information and keep your profile information current.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for abuse, fraud, spam, unlawful conduct, repeated policy violations, or risk to the Service or other users.
You may delete your account through the app or by contacting us where required.
4. Location and ZIP Code Features
BFU uses location-related information to show nearby events. The app may request device location permission while the app is in use. You may also use ZIP code or city-based features.
BFU does not use precise location for behavioral advertising and does not maintain a precise location-history feature.
Location results are approximate and may be incomplete or inaccurate.
5. Event Information
BFU provides event information from public sources, user submissions, admin entry, authorized or paid APIs, and other sources. Event listings may include date, time, venue, address, category, source links, summaries, images, and related details.
Event details may change. You must verify date, time, location, price, age restrictions, ticket availability, cancellation status, safety conditions, and other important details with the organizer or source before attending.
BFU does not guarantee that any event is accurate, available, safe, suitable, lawful, current, or properly described.
BFU does not sell tickets at launch. Some event pages may link to third-party websites or ticketing pages. BFU is not responsible for third-party websites, ticket sellers, organizers, venues, or payment processors.
6. Event Sources and Source Links
BFU may summarize, classify, format, and display event facts from public sources and third-party sources. BFU may provide a "View Source" button or other link to the original source.
BFU may remove or modify event listings at any time, including after source-owner, organizer, rights-holder, user, moderator, or admin review.
Source owners or organizers may request review, correction, exclusion, or removal through the source-removal process published by BFU.
7. User-Submitted Events
Registered users may submit events if their account is not restricted. Submission does not guarantee publication.
By submitting an event, you represent and warrant that:
- the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
- the event is lawful and not misleading, fraudulent, or spam;
- you have the right to submit any text, image, flyer, link, or other material you provide;
- your submission does not violate copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contract, or other rights;
- your submission does not impersonate another person, business, organizer, or venue;
- your submission complies with these Terms and all BFU policies.
BFU may approve, reject, edit, summarize, categorize, reformat, hide, demote, or remove submitted events at any time.
8. Reviews, Photos, and Other User Content
Users may be allowed to post reviews, comments, photos, event banners, reports, or other content ("User Content"). BFU may review User Content through automated systems, AI tools, manual moderation, malware scanning, and admin review.
You are responsible for your User Content. You must not submit User Content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexual, pornographic, misleading, spam, fraudulent, invasive of privacy, or otherwise prohibited by BFU policies.
BFU may remove, hide, restrict, demote, edit, reformat, refuse, or delete User Content at any time, with or without notice. Moderation decisions are final unless BFU chooses otherwise.
9. User Content Ownership and License
You retain ownership of User Content you submit, subject to the rights you grant to BFU.
By submitting User Content, you grant BFU a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, copy, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, transmit, reformat, resize, crop, edit, translate, summarize, create previews, moderate, remove, use, and otherwise process your User Content in connection with operating, improving, protecting, promoting, and providing the Service.
This license includes use in the app, website, event pages, search previews, social previews, emails, push notifications, internal tools, moderation tools, admin tools, marketing materials, and promotional placements related to BFU.
Where permitted by law, you waive or agree not to assert moral rights or similar rights that would interfere with BFU's ordinary formatting, editing, cropping, resizing, summarizing, displaying, or distribution of User Content in connection with the Service.
After deletion, BFU may remove public display of User Content, but may retain limited copies or metadata as needed for backups, legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, moderation records, dispute resolution, or enforcement.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- violate any law or third-party right;
- submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or spam content;
- harass, threaten, defame, abuse, or impersonate others;
- post private personal information about others;
- use reviews or comments as a private messaging system;
- upload malware, malicious code, or harmful files;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, copy, or bulk download BFU data without permission;
- use BFU data for AI training, model development, resale, competitive use, or bulk commercial use without permission;
- bypass rate limits, security controls, access controls, robots.txt, or technical restrictions;
- create accounts automatically or fraudulently;
- interfere with the Service or other users.
11. Moderation and Enforcement
BFU may use automated moderation, AI tools, malware scanning, manual review, user reports, and admin judgment to enforce these Terms.
BFU may hide, remove, reject, modify, restrict, suspend, or terminate content or accounts at any time. BFU is not required to provide a reason, warning, appeal, or opportunity to cure.
BFU may keep moderation logs and limited enforcement records as needed for safety, compliance, abuse prevention, and dispute defense.
12. Event Information, Organizers, and Source Removal Requests
BuzzForUs does not guarantee event ownership or organizer control features. Organizers, venues, source owners, and rights holders may request corrections, removals, or source exclusions, but BuzzForUs may require verification and retains final editorial and moderation control.
13. Copyright and DMCA
BFU respects copyright rights. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, follow the Copyright/DMCA Policy published by BFU.
BFU may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content and may terminate or restrict repeat infringers.
14. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may include third-party links, maps, sign-in services, source websites, ticketing websites, APIs, analytics services, cloud services, moderation services, and other third-party services.
BFU is not responsible for third-party websites, services, products, prices, tickets, refunds, policies, content, data practices, availability, or security.
15. Affiliate Links, Sponsored Listings, and Paid Features
BFU is free at launch, but may later offer promoted events, sponsored placements, affiliate links, paid organizer features, subscriptions, ticketing commissions, advertisements, or other paid features.
Promoted or sponsored placements will be labeled where required. BFU may receive compensation or commissions from certain links or transactions.
Additional payment, refund, subscription, or platform terms may apply to paid features.
16. Event Attendance and Assumption of Risk
Events are organized by third parties, not BFU, unless explicitly stated otherwise. By attending an event, you accept risks associated with travel, venues, weather, crowds, alcohol, physical activities, animals, children, parking, transportation, outdoor conditions, and the conduct of organizers, venues, attendees, or third parties.
BFU is not responsible for injuries, losses, damages, cancellations, unsafe conditions, crimes, disputes, or other issues arising from events or third-party activities.
17. No Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." BFU disclaims all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, security, and error-free operation.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BFU and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, exemplary, or lost-profit damages, or for damages related to event attendance, third-party conduct, user content, source content, inaccurate event details, deleted content, account restrictions, or third-party websites.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BFU's total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid BFU in the six months before the claim; or (b) $100.
19. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BFU and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents, service providers, and affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, your event submissions, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your violation of another person's rights.
20. Changes to the Service
BFU may modify, suspend, discontinue, restrict, or remove any part of the Service at any time.
21. Changes to These Terms
BFU may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
22. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
23. Informal Dispute Resolution
Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact BFU at admin@buzzforus.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. The notice must include your name, contact information, account email if applicable, a description of the dispute, and the relief requested.
The parties will attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute for 30 days after BFU receives the notice.
24. Arbitration, Class Waiver, and Small Claims
After the informal dispute period, any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, except that either party may bring qualifying claims in small claims court.
You and BFU agree that disputes will be handled only on an individual basis. Class actions, class arbitrations, representative actions, and consolidated proceedings are not permitted to the maximum extent allowed by law.
Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court for intellectual property misuse, scraping, unauthorized access, security abuse, or misuse of BFU data.
